Ca reactor not bubbling???
Ca reactor has been set and running for at least 2 months. Today I noticed no bubbles in bubble counter. Plenty of CO2 in tank. Tank pressure is up though. I do have a solenoid, but do not run it with a pH probe.
Is is common for CO2 tubing to clog? Tank has been checked before last fill. If it is, how to unclog? Any other suggestions??? Thanks

depending on the type of reactor and if it's been shut down recently you may need to purge the line from the bottle to the counter... I've had issues with the backflow valves in the past

close the cylinder valve, remove the regulator and then try purging the cylinder throat with a quick crack open of it's valve. (A PITA, I know.)
If this don't work I can't help you any more tonight- my Roadrunner is on the fritz and I'll be going offline in a second until tomorrow.

I'll give it a shot tomorrow. I'm already pushing my luck, cutting into Quality Time w/ the wife.

the light's still on. like i said, i don't run a probe thru it, so I'm not sure if the light goes out when it's close.

Humm, what control voltage does it respond to? And is it normally open or normall closed? Might not hurt to try and cycle it...

http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewIt...111~tab~1.html I'm gonna check the line when I get home tonight. the tank is cleared so stoppage is either in the line or the bubble counter itself. OR, its the solenoid, which I've unplugged for now. See if plugging it in resets it.

By cycle it I mean plug and un-plug the solenoid. You should hear an audible click when it opens or closes.

It was the solenoid. I had it unplugged overnight because I didn't want to muck with it last night. Got home from work, plugged it in and heard "click" and all was right with the world.
Not sure why it went into "off" mode. Any suggestions?

The solenoid is a normally closed one which means that when you remove power the valve closes and shuts off flow. If you use a controller it simply shuts the power off when you get below your set ph.
