Baking soda & kalk

I was just wondering if I can dose baking soda with my kalkwasser, or if I even need to? I use Mrs Wages pickling lime to make my kalk, and drip it overnight. I know it has a high ph, 12 I think, but as far as I know it dosen't raise the alkalinity?

[welcome]

Kalkwasser already doses alkalinity, so the combination shouldn't be needed, and won't work:

Don't forget to check the Mg periodically when using kalk since it won't be added by Ca reactor or 2 part w/ Mg.

Limewater maintains alkalinity in many tanks.

But keep that baking soda on hand for an occasional bump which is sometimes needed.
