New Noise in Pump???????

I have a Pan World 50PX pump running from my sump back to the display.

It has been up and running for several months now.

This morning its making a vibration type noise. I took it apart and it ran very quite on its own. Hooked it back up and the same thing.

Its on a pad and the pipes are touching the stand. I can't tell its vibrating at all when I touch it.

Any suggestions??

Sometimes dust, lint, salt residue on the fan can make it run loud, or maybe something in the impeller??

i agree with dsanfilippo on this, any number of things can builbup on the pump impellars and cause noises. As for vibrations, grab a screwdriver, stick your ear to the handle and stick the other on the pipes that are touching, if it's vibrating loudly, should be able to narrow down where it's coming from. That or get a cheap automotive stethascope.
