KH issue

I am having trouble keeping my KH up. I am testing and adjusting and retesting about 8 hours later and will read 8-9. Within 24 hours will be back down to 3 or 4

Have you checked your test kits..Date ? Maybe a bad battery in your probe? Or try having someone else check your water..

dont know how much of that you are using but each dose is only supposed to raise it .25 meq. All additives will spike when you first put them in a few hours later is when you get the real measurement.
Pickling lime will bring it up in a hurry if nothing else helps you.

I would double check test results with someone else. If it is low, add the recommended amount and test after a few hours.

You want to raise it, but don't do it too quickly. Also, check your calcium. It's a balancing act with these, so if one is off, the other usually is too.

Have you checked your magnesium? I was having problems with my KH a few weeks ago. I was using the reef builder to try and raise it. My mag was a little low, ca was low too, so I raised the mag, then the kh went back up and then I was able to raise the ca back up.
