what is the minumum lighting for growing SPS in 30 Gallons
Hi,
I wanted to ask what is the minimum of Watt of T5 lights for 30 gallons aquarium' I mean for growing SPS. |

I dont think you should try and grow sps with the minimum anything. So I would suggest going with halide I think they are cheaper when you figure in replacement bulb costs.

I don't know about that, Ive heard people say that bulb-replacement costs are less with T5s because they last a lot longer. Anywho, I think you would be fine growing SPS with T5s in your tank (or in any tank less than 24" in height, for that matter). I'm not sure how many you could fit in there but I would put as many as you can. Also make sure to buy good quality reflectors.
