Smile re: are you related to a celebrity

I'm related to Paul Robeson maternal grandmother
http://www.cpsr.cs.uchicago.edu/robeson/

As for celebs I know. Erika Alexander http://www.tvtome.com/tvtome/servlet.../personid-5777

Jill Scott
http://musicfinder.yahoo.com/artist/photos/1800287762

Went to high school with both of them. Erika was always smiling. Very friendly (we had PE together) she signed my yearbook.
Jill & I were in Treble Clef with one another. That was our choir. Interesting how she did something w/ her talent. I sing in the shower & while doing housework. LOL She was always very sweet. We went to an all girls school.

my dad's best friend in high school was ted nugent, they still keep in touch and i've met him and his family on several occasions. i always get a laugh hearing my mom yell from the kitchen "tom (thats my dad) pick up the phone its ted!".

not a relation, but cool enough to mention on the celebrity topic. though having met ted, i can't think of him as a celebrity.

Well...not too many people have heard of my great grand father, he was a brilliant artist. His works are sold for tens of thousands of dollars all over the world and displayed by the likes of Bill Cosby, Clint Eastwood and the White House, to name a few. his name is Hayley Lever. He was born in Australia, and settled in Wales, before moving to the NYC area.

Sorry about the history, but it exciting to me.

I have Edgar Allan Poe. I believe he was a cousin to my 3rd or 4th Great Grandfather. I used to have this listed in a family tree but have since lost it. My Grandmothers maiden name was Poe.
By the way, I always enjoy reading about the mysterious “Poe Visitor who every year on Poe’s birthday visits the grave and leaves a half bottle of Cognac and some roses. This always happens sometime during the night.

Not a celeb, but a guy who gave you the only year of school where you are supposed to take a nap...

My great great great great great uncle on my paternal grandmothers side of the family invented kindergarden back in Germany according to my grandmother.

Honelstly, I never remember how many "greats" go in there, but grandma claims to have documentation.

I also met Michael Douglas. He was filming Traffic in Cincinnati. We all went to a bar called Neon's after my buddies wedding rehersal dinner. They cleared out the patio for Michael and a few others, but let us thru because we were well dressed.

I ran into Chris Farley in Chicago a few months before he died. I was asking "Who's that huge guy in a bright yellow dress jacket with a girl who looks like a hooker?" By the time I walked past and realized it was him, I said hey and talked for a few seconds.

I shopped at Wal-Mart, founded by the richest family in the world, and also have software on my computer from the company owned by the richest man in the US.

Oh, and I drive a Ford.

I have a pretty good list. I'm related to Shirley Temple who was my grandma's cousin, Adolf Hitler who I'm not sure the exact relation and a famous Cherokee indian chief who I don't know the exact relation or name right off hand. My grandma was fairly close to Temple and talked on an occasional basis. The Hitler thing isn't something to be real proud of, but he was a very distant relative of some kind I'm told.
