Getting out of hobby - Tank inhabitants need a new home

I'm planning on breaking down my 100 gallon reef tank and moving it out of the house in the next week or two. I'm not looking to sell any of the hardware individually. However, I will sell the hardware/system as a complete setup though if someone's interested but otherwise I'll put it into storage and use it later.

At the moment, I need to do something with the livestock.

As far as fish & invertebrates, I only have two fish - Flame Angel and Pink Skunk Clown (both are healthy and have been in the tank for over two years now), one Coral Banded Shrimp, a few Astrea snails and a few small hermit crabs.

All the corals are soft or stony, no SPS. There's a few pics further down of some of the inhabitants.

There's 60 lbs of Gulf View Aqua-cultured rock in the tank that needs to go.

I'd like to get everything out in one instance as opposed to a coral here, fish there, etc... So I'm preferably looking for someone who can bring a few ice chests and take the fish, corals, inverts and rock all at once. But I'm flexible.

As far as price, if you can get everything at once I'd let it go for $100. If I can't find someone to take everything at once, I'll figure out pricing for separate items.

One other thing - local pickup only - I will not ship so please don't ask. I don't have the time or resources to ship.

Oh yeah.. almost forgot. I'm located in Cairo, GA 39828. My house is approximately 20 to 25 minutes north of Tallahassee.

Please PM me if interested.

To give you an idea of what's in the system, I've posted some pics below:

I have several of this type of ricordia. Some are attached to small live rock pieces and some are on the sand:

Flame Angel:

Coral Banded Shrimp:

Small frogspawn:

Several of these leathers - some small and large. All are frags from the same coral:

Pink Skunk - likes to host the leathers:

It may sound high, but I wouldn't let the hardware go for any less than $1500. If I can't get at least that amount, I'll clean everything up and put it into storage b/c I've got way more than that in the system.

The price above would include everything.

Tank, Stand & Canopy
AquaC EV150 Skimmer
RedSea Wavemaker
Spectrapure 3-Stage RO/DI
Mag 9.5 Pump for skimmer
Mag 12 return pump
Maxijet MJ900 powerheads
20g long sump w/ custom baffles
10g refugium
(2) 175w MH setups w/ Spiderlight reflectors
(2) URI 110w VHO actinics
German Endcaps for VHO
SpectraPure Power Liquid Level Controller
Refractometer
Salifert Test Kits
TDO meter
Grounding probe
MagFloat glass cleaner
Several EboJager heaters
Tons of miscellaneous accessories

The above items are the first major items that come to mind. There's tons of other stuff. The tank has been running since May '01 and I've accumulated quite a bit of stuff. If it's related to the tank, it would go.

You can see the tank and most of the hardware on my site:

http://www.dereksreef.com

Like the inhabitants, I don't want to sell the hardware by individual items. If no one is interested in the hardware as a complete package, as mentioned before I'll store it until I'm ready to get back in the hobby.

Thanks

Let me find out what KADLETZ's intentions are this morning since he replied first.

If he doesn't want all the inhabitants at once, you've got dibs DrHank.

Hey Chris or Doc,

If you don't want that flame angel, let me know!

By the way, I accept donations too After balancing the checkbook, I've realized that I'm a Non-Profit Organization as well... :-)

Sorry scoots. That's my instant office tank. I'll keep my eye open for any other good deals I may run across though. Maybe as a club we could capture some good deals for our members this spring though. It's certainly worth discussing. The power of many as opposed to only one.

I know what you mean by non profit. You're looking at your checkbook and not seeing a profit. It's a common affliction.
