Might wanna wait until they get a tad larger than that.
Seriously though... when the pieces grow out, you can use a dremel tool or coping saw, to cut through the skeleton to liberate the frag from it's mommy.

Really? You have done this with such tiny frags? I have about 2-4 on each head on that coral. The coral has 5 heads. Then what do I do? Glue them to a flat rock and hope for the best?

Thanks for the quick reply

No, I let them get an inch or two long, before I go whacking them off of momma.
Besides, there's little market for 1/4 inch frogspawn frags.
You can then glue the skeleton down onto a piece of rock, or I prefer to leave them free. They ship/transport/mount easier when selling them.

Im not intrested in selling them....just keeping healthy happy creatures

I am worrying about them getting light as the large polyps expand to rediculas size

Wouldn't it be easier to slice them off now... before their skeletons get too thick?

Because they're so small, you run an extremely high risk of cutting into their flesh, which will kill them.
