Ozone

Anyone run ozone on their tank? Do you have it enter your skimmer or do you have an ozone reactor? Or any other helpful hints and or tips. Thanks!

I will be setting up ozone on my 390. I have an ozone reactor. The water from the reactor will go into the skimmer.

Which reactor and which skimmer will you be using? Will you also have the outflow of the skimmer run through GAC to remove any left over ozone from the system?

I have a custom skimmer and DIY (thanks Chris) reactor. No plans for carbon after the skimmer water. The idea of using a reactor and then through the skimmer is to limit excess. The skimmer is a sealed unit and all air vented goes outside.

I used to run ozone - and ran it through my skimmer with a carbon filter too. After much reading and research I changed my opinion on it and specifically how I was thinking about ORP. But if your mind is made up, use ozone resistant tubing, make sure your skimmer will handle ozone, and def. use the carbon - I have seen some plastics dry, crumble and crack under ozone use. If noting else it can badly yellow clear plastic. And lose ozone under your tank would not be good
