BTA without LR LS?

Is it possible to keep an anemone without live rock and sand but with plenty of filtration and water changes?

Been doing that in my breeders for years. Tanks are not pretty but the BTA's and the clowns don't seem to mind.

I would recommend a flower pot or piece of pvc for them to grab onto or they seem to roam forever.
