Lyretail Anthias not eating

2 days ago I bought a female Lyretail Anthias. Absolutely beautiful fish, but I can't get her to eat.

I've tried flake, frozen prime reef, and frozen mysis shrimp. She'll suck in the food, and spit it back out.

Anyone know what to do?

I got mine eating with live brine shrimp. I fed frozen mysis and formula one cubes with some live brine the next day, and she started eating everything.

How do you do live brine shrimp? How do you keep them alive until you feed?

I buy them from the LFS. They can stay in the fridge for a couple of days. They don't have much nutrition, but they are great for starting new fish to eat.

Any other fish in the tank that might be bothering the anthias? I've always had better luck with anthias when purchased in small groups...maybe 4-6 individuals. I'd also try smaller foods like Hikari's mysid or even daphnia. If you just got the fish she may not be comfortable as well. Thing I've experienced with anthias is that not everyone (even in a group) will adapt and you may some casualties. I currently have a group of about 25 varied anthias species and still have an occassional death if I add new fish. Think it is just the nature of the game...sad to say.

I don't think so. All I have is 6 green chromis, 2 clown, and the anthias.

I guess I will try to live shrimp next... any other suggestions?

I think I will try some zooplankton. Will green chromis and clownfish eat this too?
