Yello Tang died suddenly
I am devastated, this evening I came home and my yellow tang - aka lemondrop was lying dead on the sand. I was shocked and quickly stuck my hand in to see if was still hanging on but to no avail. It was small, just a hair over two inches, and has been with me since late in January. It has always been a great eater. I noticed it was hiding a bit more yesterday when I came home on my lunch and fed them. But I was also cleaning the outside of the tank and thought I might have scared it. It's been getting mysis shrimp (frozen) and omega one marine flakes, and all the nori it could eat. The 55 gal tank is six months old. I do 5 gal water changes every two weeks with distilled water, I don't have an RO/DI yet. Amonia 0, Nitrates 0, Nitrites 0, PH 8.0 - 8.1, tankmates include three small green chromis, that have been in the tank since day one, a couple turbos, a couple peppermint shrimp and some hermits. It is the first fish I have lost, and I am pretty bummed. The peppermint shrimp have been killing hermits, and snails left and right, they are very efficient killers, and eat anything. I am going to test the water again. I just took pics of the tang yesterday and put them in my gallery.

Sorry for your loss.
Are the parameters fine? Could you have gotten ceaner in the tank during cleaning? ? ?
