? to catch a lobster

lfs said it was reef safe, not this guy, i tried the bottle with the top cut off and inserted backwards with some silver sides inside but no luck. if anyone has a better idea i would really appreciate it, thanks. hes 3 inches long

you could also try the tipped glass method, but my guess is he can propel himself back out with a tail snap. Get a tall glass tumbler, bait in the bottom, and lean the glass against the rock and wait. Works for smaller crabs, but I'm skeptical about a lobster. Another suggestion, once you've caught the guy, is to trap your LFS to prevent him from spreading any more bogus info. Good luck!
