Whats the best kelvin of fuge light?

Lights seem hard to get around my area at 5100K but I've seen a good few on eBay for SAD suffers.

Those bulbs seem to be ~6400K - is this good for growing chaeto and phyto?

Thanks!

The curly bulbs in the blue packaging are around 5100k. That is what I use. They sell them all over.

Yea i'm based in Ireland unfortunatly! You oughta seen the trouble I had getting PVC piping at a size I liked! Still havn't got it!

Tesco hasn't reached walmarts preportions...yet! I can't wait till they do!

I think I might try the 6100K rating bulb - its close enough!

I have used a 10k PC for a few years and the Chaeto grows like mad.

the link I provided shows an online supplier that I used... couldn't find them locally in the Texas panhandle either... and I refuse to let the local retailers control my options... FWIW...
