Thanks Paul. That means a lot coming from you. I did notice last night that the Idols streamer is smaller. Guess he got it caught on something and tore off. It still there but just shorter. In the short time it took him to grow it, I'm sure it wil be back in no time. Take care.

Thanks everyone.

My clean up crew consist of 3 extra large brittle stars, like 12" + from end to end on the legs, a bunch of different types of sea urchins that work wonders on the rocks, a bunch of different varaites of snails that both do the sand bed, rocks and acrylic, and a sand dollar that takes care of deep in the sand. There are also a ton of brisstle worms and spaggetti worms along with several different varaites of pods. They seem to do a good job on everything except teh acrylic as I have to clean that about every 3 days.

Thanks .

The Naso is about 12" long plus his streamers. I've had him for 2 years now and Jeff who I got him from had him for about 4, so he's been around about 6 years now.

Thanks for the pic's Dave. Your camera takes better pic's than mine. You'll have to come back over and take some when I get the doors finished and the tank is complete.

Thanks. I need to update some pictures. I now have most of the cabinet work done and a new set of lumenarc DE pendants over the tank.

Hey Paul.

So are you retired yet?

I changed the name because I have sold the Blown 63 Chevy I had. Figured it didn't fit anymore and so the Loungers got me a new name.

I'm picking up a new project this weekend though. A hardtail chopper. I must be getting senile though to think an old man like me can handle a hardtail. Should be fun.

My Idol is still doing great. He eats just about everything I feed him. One thing I noticed though is that he is particular at which songes he eats. I have several different varaites of sponges groing in my tank and there's only certian ones he's eaten. The others he doesn't even bother looking at let alone eat.

So hows the goby breeding project going?

Take care.

Chevy....er I mean Shellback, I am retiring in 6 days but who's counting? Oh I guess I am. They are throwing me a big party on wednesday and my last day of work is thursday.
On friday I have to go to school for a few days to upgrade my Captain's lisense and I started a new business to keep me busy in between boat charters. I am an owner's rep. Which means I will work for the owner of a home or business to keep the general contractor in check. I look out for the owner's welfare on construction projects, mostly small ones like kitchens and dormers.
As you know, this is a very busy time of the year, I don't know how to do all these things and have a job. Thank God, thats almost over, the job thing. 37 years in construction is enough.
Christmas week I do the Santa Claus thing which I love and dread at the same time. I love the looks and the excitement from the healthy kids, but it takes a lot out of you when you see the very ill kids.

I am glad to hear about your Idol. They are still my favorite fish and I can't wait to dive with them again. My tank is loaded with gobies but I think they need an aphrodisiac. The only thing spawning is pipefish and bangai cardinals. I have about 15 gobies but of course most of them are a different breed. They are all unusual and most of them I have never seen before. I order them specially and I don't think even the wholesaler knows what to call them. They have names like stripped gobi, spotted gobi, orange gobi. etc. It's hard to get a pair of these things, it's hard enough to get one. I also have a bunch of bleenies along with the staples, hippo's, fire clown, that sort of thing. I never had so many fish at the same time, good thing they are small.
Your tank looks really beautiful and healthy, you should be very proud. I am sure that Idol will live many happy years.
It is very cold here now and snowing a little, how is sunny California?
Have a great day.
Paul
