clarki question

I have a pair of clarki's well I thought they were a pair they have been in my tank together for about 2 years. well I got a new anemone and they got into a fight. I imediately put the injured one in my hospital tank. he's still alive and eating three days later and doesnt seem to be breathing hard anyomore but he always lays on his side unled something startled him and he needs to swim is this normal?
