Very nice!!! That Biotopus is beautiful. I havent seen one in detail yet. That picture looks very realistic. When you turn it on, please take more pics and get back with us on your opinion.

What attracted me the most was that they say it's open source so we should be able to do some of our own custom stuff. I hope it will deliver

I want to be able to have live status updates of temp, ph and more on the webpage that is going to be built for this project. I am also going to buy some quality user controllable web cameras that will have a live stream. Imagine having a fisheye view

I recommend you have a look at the comparison chart here : aquariumcontrollers.com

There you can see what options each controller has and see what fits your needs the best.

I haven't been able too hook my controller up just yet so I can't say much about it yet.

Received the source code for the Biotopus couple of days ago, it will be interesting to see what we can do with it

I uploaded a few pics of the biotopus into my gallery.
I'm sure Arnar will agree the Elos quality is crazy even the lux probe is artfully done, looks like a small carved bullet.

Updates you say... well, not much happening at the moment. I've been on a maternity leave for a few weeks and Deltec are not sticking to their time plan since the tank is a few weeks late already.

I'll post here as soon as something happens... I can't wait my self

Doesn't matter how much you have been reading , until you take the plunge. You don't know as much as you think..

Had some great news today. Deltec said the tank will be ready next week

Now we need to get the tank on a boat and ship it over here.

I was hoping to get some pictures of the factory build. I will have to see if they took any as I requested.

Well finally I have a shipping date. 26th is the day the tank is supposed to leave Germany. The trip is about 7-10 days.

Hopefully it will be here soon and in one piece

yeah.. According to plans its arriving in 3 days, next Wednesday

Not sure if we will hoist it into place the same day but the container will be here then. I'll definitely take pictures and post them here.

Last Friday I bought a used 240 gallon acrylic tank. It had a few soft and hard corals as well as two powerful tunze's with a controller, 200# of LR, 2x skimmers, 2x 400W mh and 5 fish. I plan on adding some of the stuff in the large tank and use the 240 gallon for water changes. All that for 1500$
