Coralline bad in skimmer?

I recently added a fuge area in my sump. Now I have coralline algae growing on the inside of my skimmer. Is this harming anything? It still seems to work well.

Thanks
Robb

Doesnt matter at all, my old skimmer used to get it growing on the clear cone. Never made a difference.
