depending on the depth of your tank, I think it would be a reasonable amount of light.

they are probably squamosa's or derasa's and will outgrow his tank in a matter of months

Crocea's and Maxima's are the most light demanding clams.
Here are some links for the same question:

12 g nano tank
http://archive.reefcentral.com/forum...readid=1269797

12 g nano tank
http://archive.reefcentral.com/forum...readid=1256989

10 g nano tank
http://archive.reefcentral.com/forum...readid=1238819

this is all I could find on keeping clams with this light. 2 12g and 1 10g tanks.

Not the best but it will work. 150 watt would be better. Place high and feed with phyto weekly.

In my experiences, ou need at least 150W (preferably 10K or 14K) for adequate growth, however I would recommend 250W or higher for the best coloration and mantle expansion. Ionic balance (Ca/Alk) is just as important.

Also, I never fed any phyto and had excellent success. There may be benefits to dosing phyto, although its been show in studies thats photosynthetic clams rarely utilize anything filtered (unlike non-photosynthetic counterparts). Although, to each their own.
