Rock displacing water?

I posted this elsewhere but haven't heard anything yet - thinking you guys would know.

Any guesses as to how much displacement I'll see from 200# of live rock and 100# of aragonite in my 125g? I know that it depends on the rock, but just looking for a ballpark.

i would say 10g+ for the sand and 30g+for rock

I would fill the tank halfway with saltwater add your sand and rock have a garbage can full of premixed saltwater next to the tank and top off. Don't forget you will also need to fill the sump with water and its contents as well.

I'm taking the easy way out. The tank is full, the sump has what it needs. Some salt's in the tank to get the mix going. Adding aragonite right now. I'll have my Python handy and just pull excess water out of the sump as needed.

Rather do it this way than run short and not have a full tank.

At least I was in the right area... I was guessing 38.26g.

Rock displacement in water is usually 35-40 percent of the total water volume.....Hope this helps!
