Bubble question
I have had a bubble coral for about a month now. It has been opening nicely but I have noticed that part of it in the middle is detached from its skeleton. I did have it in too much flow for about a week and am wondering if that could have damaged it? I have been target feeding it a few times a week. Any suggestions of what I need to do if anything?
Thanks Mike |

Wouldn't "de-thawed" be frozen? Considering that thawing something is un-freezing it...

Too much flow, IME, will cause it to begin to detach from the skeleton. I would think that now you have decreased the water movement around it, it should begin to look better.
My bubble doesnt like when I move powerheads aroud and it gets more flow than normal. I try to give it just enough current to cause the bubble to gently sway in the water versus being vigirously thrown around.

Yes I think it was too much flow. My frogspawn does fairly well with the flow but the bubble does not seem to do well at all with. it. I finally had to move it towards the bottom to get it out of the flow. I hope that too much damage has not been done.

They are pretty good at healing themselves once placed in the proper conditions. If yours is happy it will heal.
Good luck!
