To be honest, I havent touched the tank. It is still in the garage exactly like the picture above. I have been busy with another project lately. Maybe I will get the other two holes cut and the bottom glued up in the next couple of weeks or sooner.

What thickness of material did you use on the tank?

I had a little time to work on the tank and I got the overflow box glued. When it drys I will go ahead and drill the overflow holes and then run the flush trim bit over the joints for a nice flush finish.

I have to give you great props, I don't think I would ever have the nerve to try something like this. Can't wait to see updates.

H20ENG- That one has an 18 inch tall reaction chamber. The one for this tank will have a 32 inch tall reaction chamber, unless I can get a hold of some 18 inch dia tubing.

Harleyguy-I worried when I built my 500 the first time I filled it. I am not really worried with this tank.

Looking good Brett! Did you use 3/4" for your overflows?

I would love to have a 10 foot tank. It would be perfect in my 11 foot wall.

Yea, the overflow is made from 3/4 too.

I really havent done anything new lately. I started to get the other two top holes cut yesterday, but the baby woke up 5 minutes after I fired up the router and I was in big trouble.

My wife made the commet to me the other day "why dont you just put a tank in the wall that fits close to the end of the wall". The wall is 11 feet and a 10 foot wide tank would fit perfect. I am really thinking I should go with a 10 foot tank instead of this 8 foot. I havent cut the wall yet.

You're going to regret it if you don't take her up on her suggestion! You have obviously put a LOT of effort into what you've done so far, but I bet you can find plenty of interest from others here to buy the one you are currently building.

As they say, third time's a charm!

If you have the room then what the hey..10 sounds nice, INext time around I am going 10 or 12. I needed the room for my build and went with an 8. your tan looks awsome. If you build another it can only get better. But it looks like you have done this before anyway..

Anyway go for the 10...

I guess when I finish up the tank, I will list it here and maybe on ebay and see if I get any response out of it.
