FS: Rose Bubble tip anemone RBTA

I have a small one 2-3" for $30,
a 4-5" for $50
and a large one 6-8" for $80.

Measurements are when they are fully inflated.

Check my little red house or gallery for pictures.
Local pick up only.

I do have flatworms. Although flatworms do not like anemones, buyers should use some caution and perhaps quarantine.

this will sound like a dumb question and I should know this but would a 2 to 3'' anemone be ok in a 5 gallon nano?? I've been wanting to put one in my nano but always felt it to be too small.

Dude they may grow fast.
Vincerama gave me one of his RBTAs. It was about 3in in his tank.
Within a month it is 10in now. It takes 1/3 og my 50g now. So if you get one and it grows fast - make sure you have a backup plan.

well.....I started with one 2 to 3" rose anemone....

but it is possible but not an easy thing to do and only for the short term. Water parameters must be stable. I would think the temperature and s.g. would fluctuate too much in a 5 gallon. I had my original in a 20 gallon and it barely survived until I transferred it to a 240 gallon.

how do u get them to split?
i heard by feed them alot and putting them under stress works....
not too sure tho....

True, feeding and major water change can cause them to split. Though I rarely feed and I make small continual water changes, they still grow and split. I have sold the larger sized anemones before and upon taking one home, buyers have ended up with three immediately.

In my tank, it is just math and they grow exponentially.

Mobert: How do you make them to have bubbly tips? Is it because you have a MH?

Between, nice tank. It's like an anemone farm with the red and green buble tip anemones =D

I don't really know what makes bubbly tips. They come and go. Generally speaking though, I would say the ones that are higher up closer to the MH and right in front of a Tunze Stream tend to be bubblier.

Mobert...you and I must have the same tank. I have 7 of them. The original one I had split and split. In total, I think at least 10 clones have been in my tank.

I think a 5 gallon might be too small. I had one in a 10 gallon. It kept walking around until it sadly ran into a powerhead that used to be far away...

who/where did you get your original one from? I'm just wondering if they are related to mine.

I got my original one from San Fran Todd, he may have mentioned the the ancestry might be traced to you, but I can't remember. In anycase, Zepplock and JellyGee now have clones from me. So maybe if mine are in fact yours, we can trace the family tree.

Mine did not split, just grew huge really fast.
I need the 2nd one for my other clowns ;-)

I have a Green BTA available on a softball sized rock. Very healthy as it is not a recent split. 6" to 8" $80 I rarely have these avaialble and if you told me you wanted one a long time ago, my aplogies.

The Green BTA is E. quadicolor and not a carpet. It sometimes have very bubbly tips also. The Green mixes very well with the Roses.
