Unhappy Snails not moving.

Ok, here's the story. 3 weeks ago I setup a 120 AGA at the place where I was moving to. Transferred all the rock out of the old aquarium and some of the sand. I also added additional sand to the tank. I have about a 3" sand bed as of now. I have let the tank cycle for the last 3 weeks. Ammonia has been undetectable for the last 1 1/2 weeks. Nitrites for the past 5 days and nitrates are near undetectable (very bottom of the scale). PH is 8.2 and SG is 1.024. The new Euroreef has been running throughout, and producing a bunch of nasty stuff. Well after everything seemed balanced out here, I added some clean up crew. I didn't add a bunch of them at one time. Just wanted to start out with a few so I added 20 Astrea Snails and 20 of the Micro Blue Leg Hermits from the LFS. Well I took mike time acclimating them last night over the course of two hours. Floated the bags to regulate temp and added a cup of water about every 15 min-20 min over the course of the two hours. Everything was in by about 9pm last night. Since then none of the snails or hermits have moved. I am starting to think that they are done for. I can check and see if they are, but what do you guys think could be the problem that I am not seeing with the tank?

My guess is your acclimation process. Might have been OK for the hermits, but not the snails. Do a search on the drip acclimation process. This is the way you need to acclimate snails.
