Seio 620 pumps

Would 2 seio 620 (620gph each) pumps be too much flow in a 50gal tank.

Depends on what you want to keep. If you want to keep SPS, that might be a nice setup. It's about 1200 gph total, and 10-30x the tank size is the usual flow range recommended.

Good pumps. They would be great in a 50g.

I will keep several mushrooms, 1 hammer, 1 frogspawn, several trumpets, and several open brain. Does that change things or am I cool with the 25x turnover?

thanks again

Should be okay, I think.

The flow though high is gentle. You will like them. I do have one complaint though. I have had a M1100 for about 3 months and the impellar is already spent. I soak the thing in vinegar almost weekly but it has stopped spinning. To make things worse, no one sells replacement parts for these pumps. They are not that new either. Well, I will pack it up tomorrow and sent it back on MOnday. I am curious to see if they honor the 1 year warranty. Anyway, my 620 has been working fine for 6 months and is directed inches away from whip gorgonia that loves it.
