Pistol Shrimp info

My wife bought me a nano for Christmas and I'm thinking of the pistol shrimp/goby route. I am wondering how loud they are though? Some posts I have read make it seem like a pistol shrimp will keep you up at night. How often/how loud is it?

I have one in my 225g system...........Well I put one in there but have yet to ever here it snap/pop or anything. Rich1972 had one when he had his 29g set-up, you could here it well, if the T.V. wasn't up to loud ( Suround sound not on) you could make it out.
