Awesome!

I like how the article says "Scientists explain that the foam is created by impurities in the ocean, such as salts, chemicals, dead plants, decomposed fish and excretions from seaweed."

And then it shows a bunch of people smiling and playing in it

If that thing smelled anything like our protein skimmer, those kids wouldn't be smiling like that.

Yanno even before I got into reefing and heard what a protein skimmer was, when I'd see the frothy stuff at the beach I never wanted to play in it, reminded me too much of pee froth.

I used to work at a coffee shop here in Montara across the highway from the ocean. Certain times of the year huge clumps of skimmate used to fly all over the place out into traffic, into shops. Sometimes the chunks were thie size of beach balls, everywhere too. And mind you the coffee shop is up about 100' of sheer cliff. Down on the rocks was a frothy mess.

Not a real good conversation piece when you're pushing espresso.

Happens in Bodega Bay during winter storms too. Like you said, a good 50-100' up steep cliffs. Insane....
