I know that my alk has been dropping and i do a regularly water change of 30% every 2 weeks. I have also notice my skimmer broke down about a 1-2month ago, but never thought twice about. need some support and guicdance. thx

Get a new skimmer. Your nutrient levels must be high.

If alk is dropping, test magnesium, fortify with Kent mag, add calcium---more likely the alk than anything, and mg stabilizes it.
Skimmer wouldn't hurt, but your water changes should have held that off.
