Here's my idol. I've never seen it in person, just these pics. It's the tank from Upscales, in Oregon. I love the lush look of all the encrusting stuff between the corals. Not sure if the tank still exists in this state or not.

I would love my tank to look like Bomber's, that crisp clean look is what does it for me, what many people call "the laboratory look". And the fact that it's mostly Carribean corals, not many people do that.

Steve Weast's tank and the one from cpfarm are my favorites.

But If your going to put up Bomber's tank, you might as well put the best picture.

And heres a nice tank (not the best but unique) with an Hawaiian theme. He's (jacksok) from ultimatereef.com in the UK

And lastly, one of my favorites, another from the uk, this is pavlo's tank

Detritivore's got it! God's is the BEST!

But I still like the Japanese tanks for us mortals.

A little off subject so please PM me instead of getting the thread off track. Does anyone know where to get pendants and light fixtures similar to the ones they use in Japan? I really like the idea of "spot lighting" different parts of the tank.

Yeah I think Bombers tank is the shiznit! I was going to do a Carribean biotope tank, but then reality set in, you cant get carribean corals in this industry. Bomber collects all his own stuff from the Keys!!

Fisking Europeans and Japanese, so lucky to have those beautiful framless glass tanks, I think these things really make the look of the systems!

I absolutely agree. It gives the system a different look. It seems to make you realize the presents of the water more. With a framed tank, either braced or covered with a canopy or wall, you almost forget the water is there sometimes.

I want to do a rimless tank with a hanging light system for my next set up. Like I said above, the hard part is finding light fixtures that will work to my liking.

Giesemann, AquaMedic, AB, or Sunlight Supply - only way to go

I've got a Maristar for my next venture
