Emerald/Minthrax crab....yes or no???
This bubble algae is starting to get on my nerves. I know Minthrax/Emerald crabs eat it (as long as it's small) but I also know they are somewhat questionable as far as reef safe.
My tank is stocked w/ SPS, LPS, and Zoo's. The other inhabitants are 2 clownfish, a pepermint shrimp, and various snails. So should I take the chance??? |

I guess it's too early to tell, but I have a red mithrax in my tank for 3 weeks or so now and hasn't done any damage yet, and has even helped with the hair algae.

I have four, one I purchased and three that came in on live rock.
They only seem to eat the coralline, nothing else. |

I had two for awhile. They ate the bubble algae just fine. Then they started to pick at a Toadstool coral, so they were gone after that.
