Tiny particles in water?

This is my first post! WooHoo!!!! I'm very new to reef keeping and have a 14 gallon biocube. Its been up for about two and a half weeks. I used live sand and live rock. I have about 16 pounds of live rock and took the bio balls out. All parameters looked good so I went to the LFS and bought a maxi jet 900 and 4 crabs. 2 blue legs and two red legs(I think thats what their called.) I put the crabs in and put the maxi jet in at the same time and noticed that there are now small fine particles floating around in the tank. Is that from the crabs cleaning and scraping on the rocks or is that something from the upgraded pump? And will the fine particles eventually go away? Thanks in advance!

[welcome]

it could be a combination of both the hermits and increased flow kicking up some particles in the tank

I appreciate the reply, so will the fine particles eventually go away once the crabs have made their way around or is that something I will always have to deal with?

it should go away soon. just let everything settle for a while and try not to move anything around.
