Assist with diagnosis please

Lights came on this morning and I noticed a glass threadlike protrusion from the eye. It looks like a few smaller in the cheek as well. The photo was difficult and it just shows the object head on. I have a good population of bristle worms in the tank my thought was she met up with one last evening. Can someone confirm this possibility?
I would also like to know what may happen and how to treat the problem.http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...oon_edited.jpg

Hmm, could be a bristleworm. I'd watch the animal closely for signs of infection, and get a quarantine tank going, if there isn't one available already.

Bertoni,
Do you know how serious this could be to the fish? What to look for?

Not really, in all honesty. You could try in the fish disease forum. I haven't heard of a poke in the eye before, just in the mouth parts. The mouth parts pull through nicely.
