I would first suggest a sump. If that is not possible, then a CPR will be the next choice. I had one on my 55g tank, stand was too small for sump. It worked wonders. It served its purpose. The only problem is they are expensive. For $149, you could build a very nice DIY sump.

I have a used 24'' model. Too bad your not in the US....

I really like mine. Grows chaeto like crazy and gives pods a place to flourish and migrate into the main tank.

Keeping it on a reverse light schedule also helps keep the pH more level in the main tank at night.

I have one and its is a great place for pods, chaeto, mangroves, etc.

I'm doing my system over and will be converting to a sump and a larger refug. If you have the space and time, I'd recommend going with the sump and/or refug now.

Of course, all this depends on what you want the refug for.

I just bought the Medium sized one from J and L in Burnaby u should get it there if ur buying LFS. I'm happy with it so far but I haven't had it for more than a week. It comes with this net for a bubble eliminator, I'm not sure if pods will slip thru it does anybody know here?
