GlassCages.com

Does anyone have any information about GlassCages.com? I've heard mixed reviews, but most of the negative reviews were from a couple of years ago. I'm considering purchasing a reef-ready 75g rimless from them, so any input would be helpful!

Thanks,
Josh

One of the first threads I read when I became a member here was about Glasscages.com: http://archive.reefcentral.com/forum...readid=1171533

I can't recommend them. The owner(/s) seem very rude..

Thank you - this was the thread I couldn't find. You can always expect one person to have problems with a company, but with so much other input, it really makes me second-guess them...

I had a customer receive a tank from them about a month ago, 130 acrylic, they were ok to work with and even gave him a tour of the facility. The tank looked good with no problems yet.

I just got a tank stand and sump from them. Toured the facility also. No problems at all. They were kind throughout the entire transaction.

Jasper - would you mind posting a picture of your setup? Also, if you 'built' your setup on their website, was it built to your specifications?

Below is the only pic I have. I got the 95G 3 foot wide listed on their site. I wanted more of a cube. It is 36 x 24 x 25. I did order starfire on 3 sides. I also had them add a side lift out panel in the stand so that I could remove the sump if needed. Everything came in as ordered.

Jasper - thanks for the pic. Your setup looks very nice. That tang and clown look picture-perfect!

I like to weight in on this subject. I have a 225g RR custom built tank from these folks. I spoke with Tom the owner on several occasion and he call me on a few. I had nothing but a wonderful experience with them. He had never heard or made an overflow quite like my design but had made many similar to it. He was very willing to attempt it and did a great job. He even had my tank built 3 weeks earlier than he said and asked if I wanted it right away or to wait for the date he had originally stated. He was never rude to me. My best friend also has bought 3 different tanks from him through out the years a 75rr a 180rr & a 240rr and never had any issue's with them or any of the tanks to date. I bought mine in 04-2007. Here is the link to my build thread, It should be on page 5 if not just go to page five that where the pics of the tank are at.
