How To Stop The Burping

Hey all, this past weekend I installed a new and bigger sump and my problem is I can't stop the burping from the overflow lines. I know its something to do with how deep the lines are submerge but not to sure of it. What is the best way to stop this??
any and all help is welcome.
Thanks
Joe

You need a standpipe. Read up at http://www.dursostandpipes.com/

How deep are your lines? Did you increase flow as well as the size of the sump?

I'm not sure of how your overflow is setup, as this would determine the exact way of going about reducing the gurguling or burping. Here's a link to a site that should give you some ideas as to the concepts behind it all. There are several different designs, durso, hoffer.... rustybucket

I got it to stop by adding a standpipe.
