Question Is my basement an OK place for my quaranteen tank?

Until now, I've been set on putting my quaranteen tank in my basement, but I'm not sure that's the best place. The basement is not finished (with a dirt/concrete floor), but there's plenty of room to put my R/O water bins and fish stuff there. The only problem is that my house uses oil to heat it in the winter through an oil furnace, and in the winter, especially there's a mild odor from the oil down there. Because of that, should I reconsider putting my Q-tank there? Unfortunately, it's the only place I have room. Do you have suggestions before I get my Q-tank filled and up and running?

I expect it will be OK. You can always run a little carbon in the QT tank to bind up any oil (it is very good at that).

FWIW, I have my sump/skimmer/refugia/QT tanks/etc. in the basement, and I have an oil furnace.
