Kent Marine Nautulis Skimmer

Can anyone comment on the performance of the Kent Marine Nautulis EX skimmer? My lfs has one on sale, and I am currently in the process of setting up a 180 gal., FWLR tank. My original plan was to go with the ASM 4+, as it fits in the current sump. I have never seen anyone even mention the Nautulis on any of the message boards.

Maybe there is a reason for that. If it is a piece of junk, I won't get it. Was just wondering, because the price they are selling it for seems very low.

I had the TE

I had the TE and it worked pretty good on my 180 +55 sump.So sure the EX would work better for your 180.I traded it because I downsized for a smaller set-up.I didn't get alot of replies when I posted a similar question a while back when I was deciding on the TE.Hope this helps.

An LFS of mine has an EX on one of their tanks and it looks to do well, but I have not heard much about them either.

I had one setup on my 210 Fowler and it never seemed to pull very much skimmate. When it did, it was always very wet. Opted to go to the new Reeflo Orca 200.

I had one on my 180. It worked well, lots of skimmate and depending on how you set up the overflow tube you got dark green skimmate or light green. Prety much plug and play for me.
