Free Purple Urchin (FYI: It Eats Things)

http://archive.reefcentral.com/forum...ostid=11536764

I have nowhere to relegate this guy where he won't eat something...

Not sure what kind of system he would be good for but before I "off" him I would like to offer him up.

can't you take him back to a reef store near you????You might get a store credit?!?!?!?!? Might be worth a try anyway, especially since you're thinking of dumping him.

That was in the back of my head and frankly I am the kind of person who (with the inhabitants of my tank) gets concerned when anything doesn't look healthy let alone is going to bite it, even when an pod or mini-brittle star gets in water I am going to dump. I am overly parental about the things in my tanks - even those that try to eat the other things in my tank - so I promise I will explore every option before dumping it .

Wanted to see if anyone was interested first here.

How far are you from West Chicago? I will let him clean out my sump. I am heading out that way tomorrow evening. LMK

I am about half a mile south of the amc theaters you see off of I88 before the Rt 59 exit, which is what you would take to get to West Chicago so I am quite close.

I will PM you a phone number, we can likely work something out.

I love mine--keeps the glass really clean--but he keeps ripping off the air tubing on my Backpac & walking around with it on him or losing it. I've cut 3 new ones the past week!

The urchin is going in the sump. My trigger is still pretty small, I don't think he would be able to take out an urchin.

Sorry I couldn't make it tonight. I made my 2nd stop in West Chicago but I ran out of time. I had to be back home with my son by 8 cause he has school tomorrow. If someone else wants him, they can have him. I am not going to be able to make it back down that way for a while.
