I believe that this is xenia elongata. I call it common xenia, because, well, it's the most common type I've seen.

question, does xenia need lots of light? or will it survive with low light? is it cathching food particles? what can i feed it?
and lastly, how can i get one from a reef? im gonna get it myself.

It will wither and die if it doesn't have enough light. It does need a lot, but not huge amounts. I've found feeding DT's to cause very fast growth.

I've had really rotten luck shipping xenia elongata, but I've never shipped this stuff. Not sure how well it will do.

Ok, I could not resist not posting this of heteroxenia. It stands as high as 6" if the clown did not keep bothering it. Can't get ride of this clown since it was my first fish in my house here 5 yrs ago.
