beautiful hammer, but not exactly what im talking about. i mean like the color of snow or a sheet of paper. no tint of any color what so ever. ive had a little secret hammer that ive been growing for a while and searching to see if others exsist since i got it. how i came across it is a wierd story in itself but im working on getting a pic of it up. thanks for the post though

I don't know how rare it is but there is a LFS around here has them all the time. I'm not sure they are bleach or not...

I have seen noe or two true ones. I bought a white frogspawn that didn't stay white.

Im not sure if there is such thing is all white white without a hint of other coloration. Never saw one, just the white one we purchased about a year ago. Around here anything of odd coloration doesnt hit the stores very often. I think if anything, they are picked up when shipments come in or special ordered.
Good luck in search and with your secret hammer. Possibly one day you will be able to frag and share the secret with some others

i doubt there are real white ones as you describe... to photosynthesise the zooxanthellae use pigments, and without the pigments it cant photosynthesise. so i think you are safe in the assumption that white = bleached...

i tried like crazy to get a pic and cant get a decent one. because of its placement, and my photography skills (lack of) lol. but yes, its completely white, pure white. kinda like what jjmcat posted a pic of but it has no pinkish tinge. its under a few 250w mh's and its bean doing great for 7 months now so there goes the zooxanthellae theory. not sure but man i need to work out this camera thing. but the more i mess with it the more hopeless i feel

I would not call either of the two pictured above white. They both look like very nice, healthy colonies.

Well its under 20k lights, so that kinda gives it that hue, but its more of a white in real life.
