Talking blastomussa pics

Hi! Blastomussa is one of my favorite corals, i'm not sure why. I just think they are pretty. I would like to start a collection. I was wondering if some of you guys out their could post some pics of your different blastos, either m. or w. (the large or small kind)
Thanks!
Kelly

Those are all really great! nbd13- what lighting do you have that under? I'm looking for some blue blastomussa. I have never seen it, i would love to see a pic. I would love to get a pice of that from (blowfish aquatics)? I think thats ware its from. They have an add at the top of the rc screen sometimes. Its orange and yellow. But those are all great pices. If any of you are willing to part with any frags, selling or trading, pm me! Thanks, keep the pics commin!!!!

its under 660 watts of VHO, on an ice cap 660 and an ica cap 430 ballast. there are 3 super actinic 03's, 2 actinic white, and 1 aqua sun.

ah!!! I can't believe you got that pice! I had looked at it on ebay, and was thinking of biding. So, want to share? lol. Oh, just go under surch, and type in blastomussa. You'll find some info. Or go on google or some surch engine. You'll find lots of stuff. Its basically an easy coral to take care of, and likes medium to high lighting, with medium/low flow. hth

ifrag- thats some cool blasto. How long does it take yours to grow/split? What lighting is that under? Thanks for posting the pic! Lets see more pics! And growth rates and lighting would be nice too.

Blasto's in merleti or wellsi variants. My very favorite coral so I am thrilled you are asking for pics. They are very easy to care for, unassuming and quite pleasing in color to your eye.

Here are mine! Enjoy!

Some growth pictures of my merletti when it started exploding. It is now about 3 times the that size now. Sorry for the poor photography skills though.

I was surprised you didn't hit me up for this frag... [raspberry with green centers merletti] ... it went to a guy at the NCPARS swap.

Still have a monster piece left to grow out in my 50g.

S !

ps - pic doesn't do it justice.

i know blastos prefer low to moderate water motion. but does any one have experience with them in sps tanks with lots of water movement?

I have pretty high flow in my tank (20x per hour) and I just tried to put the coral in a little cove away from all the flow.
