My stand design for my AP24
Here is a sketchup I did of my stand that I am going to build for my AP 24. I would appreciate some feedback from those of you who have built your own stand.
Here are the dimensions 28"L x 26"W x 40"H I will be using 2x4's for the frame with the exception of the the 2 front supports, they will be 2x2's to accomodate the front door and drawer. I plan on skinning it in either 1/2' or 3/4" wood. Everything will be screwed and glued together, then stained a dark cherry color. Jon [IMG][/IMG] |

Nice, 200lbs shouldn't be a problem.

my stand for my 65 gal is held together by staples and wood glue and is supported by two 1 inch thick peices of plywood. the back is a cross between cardboard and plywood lol.
your stand is very heavy duty and will hold your tank no problem.

That stand is way overkill for that tank. But it should work very well. You could drop to 1/4 inch ply and 1x2's and it would still be strong enough.
