Nassurius snails

Can I put some on a gravel bottom or should I add some sand?

they do fine in gravel. Mine dig under CC.

how bout if the 10gal has a slight tilt in the water line? half inch lower in the front?

1/2 in is a lot IMO, but then its only 10g so there should be so much pressure on the glass. nevertheless i think you should try to level it out the best u can. just in case [to avoid problems later on]

CC=Crushed Coral which is at least pebble size if not bigger.
