Hey Cam, you can use Reef Central's gallery to host the picture.

Cool coral, but I'm thinking its a lobo. Not an acan lord.

Agreed with the above. It is either some kind of lobo/musimila/isophyllia in the mussidae family.

Sorry for going a little off topic, but does anyone have a VALID, VERIFIED picture of micromussa? From my understanding, they are more related to blastomussa than acanthastrea. I have a very unique looking piece and wanted to compare it to VERIFIED pictures of micromussa.

Thanks in Advance,

Joe

I dont think you will find anyone with a verified picture of a micromussa, they are harder to find then lords. I have two in my gallery which I do believe are micromussa's. If you want I will link pics.

They are more closely related to the lord then a blasto however, there is even a link to the lord on the coral search ref (corals of the world) page of the micromussa.

Thanks, Chris...

That clarifies things up for me. Nope, just and odd looking blasto. The polyps are much smaller than my other ones, but it doesn't look like a merletti ( not branching). Very deep deep red with starburst green/yellow center.

No problem bro, I am guessing merlleti. I have a few that aren't branching as well.

not sure if any of you guys know (or are interested) but blowfish aquatics had a decent size purple acan for sale last time I looked.

I personally like the green/dark green one that Mane posted on page 3, 3rd picture down. Very cool. Out of curiosity what is the difficulty level and requirements of these corals?

The piece at blowfish is not an Acanthastrea.
