Problem with very loud bubbling in the sump
I have a new 90 gallon system and the hose running from the bottom of my overflow to the sump is creating loud noise and an excessive amount of bubbles. This is as it enters the compartment just before it flows into the wet dry trickle filter. From the filter as it flow to the return area I'm using a rio hyperflow 26 that is dead silent and working great. It's just the water coming from the tank, going down the overflow in the hose on the way to the sump compartment is making a lot of noise which prevents the activity of watching the tank from being soothing and just makes it rather aggravating.
Can anything be done here? I have a piece of 45 degree pvc pipe attached to the hose at the bottom of the overflow....should I just attach another at the point where the hose enters the sump? If there's anything else please do tell, thanks |
