Fun with flash!

I just began to learn flash at 7:30pm last night. Here is a nice little timeline.

My first try: an animated car as per the tutorial:
http://www.deathbydyeing.org/flash.swf

Second try. I made an angler fish swim. Then I made it eat a fish. Then I added more and more, until it got to this:
http://www.deathbydyeing.org/angler.swf

Okay, good enough. Let's keep with the watery theme. I made a nice little movie that started as a guy jumping, but ended up here.
http://www.deathbydyeing.org/littleman.swf

Next up, I played with physics a tiny bit. A bouncing ball and a running dog.
http://www.deathbydyeing.org/bouncingball.swf

Here is something I spent 2 hours on, just finished. 3 balls interacting and bouncing around to my best understanding of physics. Really damn hard!

And last but not least, here is a reinactment of a cartoon I amde in grade 5. It had more fish and a free buffet sign, though. (the cartoon)

Not cancelled...delayed. And he has 3 more flights to catch before arriving in ATL, not to mention customs, finding the right flight, etc.

It's going to be another long night...

Don't worry he'll get there in time...I talked with GW on the phone and he said that if they delay his flight again he'll send his Air Force One.

Hmm, Kayla I suggest you get some sleep - you wouldn't want the Aussie to see you all tired and everything, right?

Considering how tired he will be, I don't think it really matters. We will just be happy to see each other.

But sleep is a rather good idea. Nite.

Wow. So I heard one of the tanks behind me making a lot of noise and i figured that it was just because of it being low on water.(because it had been making the noise all night). The tank light is also off so i couldn't really see inside of the tank, but i eventually walked over to the tank and noticed it was missing about 30% of its water. Now, this wouldn't be too much of a big deal except I am storing one of my wild comps in there (freshwater wild fish are actually hard to come by and especially this fish being one of the few in the U.S.), and the comp is actually in a breeder’s net to try and get it back in shape. So when I walked over to the tank the breeder’s net was completely out of the water, thus, the fish was being deprived of water. I quickly unhinged the net and put it into the water so that it was completely submerged and miraculously after that ordeal the fish is still thriving.

It turns out my fluval somehow opened up and started dumping water out of my tank. I was able to close it and refill the tank with water and a healthy dose of stress coat.

That was fun

I love those moments. Sort of like when your monitor turns pink and you can't fix it. Makes you appreciate what you had before.
