feeding scooter blenny
Hi,
I have had a scooter blenny for about a month now and I am worried that he is not eating enough. His sides seem pretty slim. He is also getting harrassed by a purple dottyback. I read that they eat mostly micro algae and copepods. I was wondering if anyone had any experience fattening up these little guys? Also, any suggestions for getting the dottyback to lay off him? I have lots off liverock so the blenny has lots of places to hide. My 50 gal has benn set up for about 7 months and micro algae is growing pretty good. But I don't ever see him eat it. any info would be great. Jason |

You can always try the Mandarin Diner, since they are both Dragonettes.

This fish is a pod eater. He spends all day searching for pods and can clean a smaller tank out pretty fast. Its a must to have a refug. setup to keep the pod level in check. They may eat some pellet and smaller frozen but not enough to survive. Heres a pic of mine.
