Paired them up before. Helps to have a few at hand (3+) and to have a large tank (500gallon+). Pair them in a small tank and see how they react to on another... you'll know right away if it will work.... if it does... add to the display!

I don't think I would try it in a tank that small. I've used 2 of the same size... smaller the better imo.
While they co-exist in the larger tanks I have added pairs to, there is still some bickering amongst them. Not "I'm gonna kill you" attitude just some minor chasing....

I'd just be afraid of them killing each other and you wind up out some serious $$$!

i pair them up often in 10 gallon tanks. You will know within a week or so if they will get along. 3" with a small one (1" and no more then 2) will pretty much always get along. a 120 is plenty big enough if they are getting along before hand in a 10.

I had four in a 225 until recently. There was an obvious pair and two third wheels. Make sure they are the last wrasse you want to add. They will beat the snot out of anything else for 24-48 hours once they are established.

I removed the two third wheels due to the aggression.

helfrich first definitely. they will be beat to death if you add them after the mysteries or the grammas. There also may be aggression issues between the RG and mysteries or the blackcaps and mysteries...

Are you really sure you don't want any more wrasses after the mystery? I said the same thing when I got my mystery wrasse and now I wish I would have waited to add him last because I can't put any more wrasses of any sort in the tank. He is VERY aggressive towards any new wrasses and will instantly kill whatever I put in there. SO, I guess I'm just suggesting that you really think about it and add them later if you think theres even a slight chance you'll be interesetd in any other wrasses in the future.
Plus, in a 120 I think it will be too cramped for 2 mysteries. I have 1 in my 120 and sometimes I think its too cramped for him in there by himself.
