More Kid theary needed

Kel calls me this morning and I just hear screaming crying in the background. She says Mattie, the oldest, was looking at the tank over pancakes. The tank is in the dining room, when all of a sudden the Peppermint Shrimp carcass came floating across the top. The star fish grabbed it and started to eat it. I tried to explain to her that it was probably a molt. She says she knows and they looked all over and cant find the shrimp though. The kids are crying, not wanting to goto school.

Well I come home, and theres the shrimp. Right in his usual spot dancing away.

"I" know things are going to die and etc, but I never thought of the process explained to 6 and 8 year old girls. These are girls that named the first copepod, Chloe.

It could be worse. You ever seen the look on a seven year olds face when she learns she has just ate the best part of Daisy the cow she has watched raised over 18 months?

Yeah, and then the look goes away and SOMEBODY better have some answers. Good answers.....because an angry 7 year old girl is someone to be reckoned with.

Oh man I feel for you. I can't imagine how it was when farm life was the norm. Poor Wilber. Good thing Charlotte could write.
