Cleaning the 210

I just got my 210 home and I was wondering whats the easiest way to clean it out?

i was reading ding to da dongs thread and you stated you might be looking for a pump. i have a marlin pump by sequence if you'd be interested. it's brand new and in the box. l will sell it for $180. new it runs $300+. here's the specs.

i also have the impeller to downsize it to a wahoo that I can throw in. I had recently sold my 210 and this is a pump i bought for a backup in the event the main pump had failed, that's why it's never been used.

thanks for the offer, but i think i may need a little more flow than the marlin can offer as i will be plumbing my skimmer from the return.

yeah with some vinegar and water.. it was brand new.

the tank is brand new but full of dust.

you can use bleach if it was bad but palin water or add some vinegar is fine then flush with fresh water.

thanks i think im going to put some water in the tank and wipe it around and then drain the water.

With smaller tanks I stand them on end and hose them out. With my 250g, I simply wiped it down with wet paper towels.

It's a good idea to test it with fresh water before you fill it up to check for leaks. I suggest hosing it out, then siphoning out as much as you can. If you have a shop vac, use that to get the rest of the water out. Then just let it air dry.
